Web Developers and Designers Unite!

October 19th, 2009 by Teylor Feliz

This past week, Admix Web was approached by Brian K. McDaniel, a fellow web designer and blogger, about having a bio written about us for his new weekly blog installment called, “Behind the Avatar.” Our first reaction was honor; what an honor to be considered for such an article. Our second reaction was much more profound, when we realized how brilliant of an idea this actually was! First off, Admix Web has to give acknowledgment to Brian K. McDaniel and his blog, BKMacdaddy, for a truly innovative idea, which does exactly what we have talked about here on Admix Web for awhile, which is the importance of collaboration rather than competition between fellow web designers and developers. Moreover, this idea re-establishes the importance of not only adding fellow colleagues in your field as friends on networking sites, but actually taking the time to get to know them. Which is another idea we have expressed and reiterated numerous times in many of our posts. So, this post is to take the time to thank Mr. McDaniel for considering us for a great post, and to reiterate the importance of networking, meeting and getting to know colleagues in your field, and to collaborate with fellow designers rather than seeing them as competition.
