Admix Web Magazine is back!

After several years of lethargy, we are happy to announce that Admix Web is back!

What happened in those 4 years that we disappeared? Well, Admix Web was not completely hidden, I usually share links and resources on Twitter and Facebook. However, I was very busy with personal and educational stuff.

What Happened These Years

During the time off, I went to the University of Denver and received a Masters in Information Technology. Also, I started teaching at Academy of Art University, where all my classes are web design and web development related. In addition to this, I started my own web design and development agency, where I do some work for several clients in Louisiana and Dominican Republic.

What is the Goal of Admix Web

Part of the reason that I decided to stop writing articles temporarily was the amount of web design and development blogs that came from 2009  to 2013. The big problem was not the amount of blogs, but the quality of the posts. Most of the post were “list-of” or “round-of” with the purpose of getting page views and sell advertisement. In addition, most of the guest post were just pure trash that did not add anything to the web development community, and they were just spam to promote a particular website, application, or service.

The goal for this site is to share my ideas and experiences with the community. I will try to write a post when I find it necessary, so I won’t have any particular schedule, but I will try to write as much as possible. I won’t be doing ”list-of” or “round-of” just for the sake of page views. Furthermore,, I will try to share what I learn and write with references and resources for people to investigate or go more into details on the topic.

We won’t accept guest post unless the article is well written and not spam. I won’t allow spammers to pollute the blog just for extra cash or page views. I want to provide quality articles and information pertaining to web design and development to help people learn, and I want people to feel free to comment and share ideas! So, I hope you enjoy reading, and check back soon for my first article!

PS: The site is not 100% finished, it is a work in progress but it will be ready soon.

Thanks!
