Kick-Ass Art Inspired by the Comic Kick-Ass
Apr 26th 2010 by
This past week I had the pleasure of seeing the epic comic story made on the big screen, Kick-Ass. For those of you who do not know about the movie Kick-Ass, you must do yourself a favor and go see this amazing movie, and for those of you familiar with the movie or the comic, I do not need to convince you how great this story is with Big Daddy, Kick-Ass, Hit Girl and Red Mist. Unfortunately, I have to be honest that I was not familiar with the comic prior to it being made into a movie, but after watching the movie I found myself wanting to immerse myself in the comic story. Not only is Kick-Ass himself a great character, but Hit Girl is the story! However, as a designer, as much as I love the story, I love the comic illustrations more. Here are some Kick-ass illustrations inspired by the comic Kick-Ass that I came across that I wanted to share with all of you. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

9Interview: Web Developer Dan Cannon from Nicasio Design
Apr 19th 2010 by
In our article, We are Calling all Web Designers and Developers: We Want to Know the REAL You, I requested designers and developers to nominate colleagues in the field for an informal interview conducted by myself. It is my contention that these interviews will not only give us great insight into the people behind the designs, but they will also help with networking, collaboration, and generally getting to know each other on a more personal level. We are still looking for interviewees, so please contact me if you are interested! This week we had the pleasure of interviewing an amazing web developer, Dan Cannon of Nicasio Design, which is based out of Savannah, Georgia. Dan is only twenty-five years old, and he is already an amazingly successful developer, who has a great portfolio under his belt. This is our first web developer in our interview series. Enjoy!

10Reasons You Should Have Your Own Blog
Apr 12th 2010 by
It has been a little over one year since we first launched Admix Web, and we are very happy with how successful we have been. Now, when I say successful, I am not talking about only monetary success. Though having a blog does usually bring in some excess income, and for some bloggers this income can be quit lucrative, I believe the most successful blogs are the ones that are started for another reason, other than just making money. Actually, I get asked quite frequently, “Why do you have a Blog?” Well, because I get asked that so often, I have decided to write this post explaining the positive motivations I have for writing my blog. Here are a few reasons I write my blog…Why do you write yours? Please feel free to express you reasons for blogging in the comment section! As always, I love to hear from fellow bloggers!
